Based on service 3/25 at 6pm, would *not* recommend. Pizza pretty good, Ok outdoor space but only bottled water to drink (not even soda!) and the guy was quite rude. I asked for a small cup for pup’s water - none, trash can - none. Guy offered to put my half-eaten pizza in an open bin right under food prep in trailer (gross!) Would def. recommend Meteor right next door for great slices, burgers, wine, beer, full bar, cool space inside & out and friendly staff. Pass on this one.

I live in the neighborhood and ordered a whole pie and a side of chili oil from the south congress shop. The pizza is enormous. Flavor was great, crust was very wide and puffy which doesn't scream NY style pizza to me. What was a huge let down was the side of chili oil. They charge $4 for it. The tiny plastic container I got had 2 teaspoons of oil in it. It was about 1/4 full at pickup (see pic). I checked the box and there was no spillage. And literally not a single chili flake in it. Very disappointing.

We randomly stopped by Sammataro Slice House on a walk (it was literally their first day open!) and it felt like fate! First off — we are STOKED they’re closer to us now AND doing slices. Being able to grab a slice instead of committing to a whole pie is AWESOME! The setup is a food truck on the side of The Lawn and it’s super cutely decorated. The owner and manager inside the trailer had greeted us when we approached the window and was very friendly. This spot is great for a casual quick bite! There wasn't seating when we went (outside of what was attached on the front of the truck), but you could totally go over to the Lawn and sit if you wanted. We grabbed a slice of the House Pie and a side of ranch. Their crust is UNREAL! Perfectly crispy with that light, fluffy chew inside and what you want in a NY slice! The pickled peppers added great flavor without being overly spicy. The slice was balanced and way too easy to devour. The side ranch, needs to be bottled and sold immediately, it’s that good! Such a great spontaneous stop and we’ll absolutely be back to work our way through more slices. Austin pizza lovers this one’s worth checking out!

Solid slices honestly cheaper than homeslice in some respects, great location, streetside parking, and close to where I live. I gotta be careful or I might come here too often..
